If you are a student or parent interested in learning more about how to participate in FCE, please contact us to discuss our admissions criteria and participation standards. Our admissions procedures are designed to ensure that FCE is the right fit for you and that we will help you achieve your specific educational goals.

Research: We encourage you to find out as much as you can about FCE before applying. You may do this by requesting materials such as our brochure or newsletter, or by visiting us at our monthly meetings, which are held every third Wednesday of the month from 6:30-9:00 pm at the Palo Alto Unified School District Board Room.

Information Session: We hold information sessions in the fall, winter, and spring. Students and parents MUST attend one of these information sessions in order to be considered for admission.

Application Materials: You will receive an application packet at the information session which includes an application form, essay questions, teacher recommendation form, academic release form, parent/student agreement form, as well as some additional documentation. Please complete these forms accurately and return them to FCE by the stated deadline:

Interview: We will review your application materials and contact you to schedule an interview if you meet the program eligibility criteria. The interview gives FCE the opportunity to get to know you better and allows your family to learn more about FCE. We interview both the parents/guardians and the student.
